Ghost Towns!!

Hi everyone, it’s me again – Pierre!

I hope you’re all having a great summer. I’m so happy that the sun is shining and I can sit out in my balcony garden. Look how handsome I look among the purple flowers. I think purple is my colour!

So I have a dilemma. My mom and dad are planning to go on a road trip to a place called Nelson, BC to go and look at real life ghost towns. Because of Covid I can’t have my regular pet sitter come and stay with me so they asked me if I’d like to come with them or stay home and my friend will come and check on me.

On one hand, I’m very scared of riding in the car. My mom said I can sit on her lap the whole way and she’ll hold me and take care of me and she said I can bring my favorite blanket with me. I don’t know if I’m going to like staying in a hotel – what if someone breaks in and steals me?? and what will happen if there is no one home to guard my balcony garden?? Will someone steal all of my flowers? Who will water them? And, to be honest, I’m a little afraid of ghosts. But if they come near me I’ll bite them!

But, I will be with my mom and dad and I know they won’t let anything bad happen to me. And I will have Safey Blanket to sleep with. And riding in a car might be fun. Any Mom says I might have a surprise visitor when I’m there.

And on the other hand, I would be very lonely staying home by myself. No one would be here to put my cat food in the microwave so it’s the perfect temperature. And I’d have to sleep all alone every night. But I wouldn’t be afraid because I’d be in my own home and there are no ghosts here.

What do you guys think? Should I be extra brave and go on the trip or stay home and guard my home?

This is me in my garden
Just checking to see if they need watering

  1. Go I. The trip Pierre snd keep your parents company I suspect you make “sing” a lot while in the car because you are scared . Maybe mom. Nd dad should start taking you for little trips do you aren’t so scared 🙂

    1. My mom said that’s a good idea and we’d are going to try going for a drive good weekend ?

  2. Never pass up an adventure especially when it involves travel and the possibility of a surprise visitor … unless of corse the visitor is a ghost.

  3. Pierre cats rule and there is a lot of your empire for you to see. Go and enjoy yourself.

  4. Depending on when you go and my work schedule, your Aunty Laura might be able to help! But please, no surprise attacks when I come through the door ?

  5. We have travelled from Ontario to BC several times with our fur babies. They became great at it. Always have a harness on and let them out with a leash to checkout where they are at least once or twice a day. We did have few close calls but it always turned out well. Be aware that they can find funny places in the room to hide.
