Garden Sticks and Visitors and My New Bed – Oh My!

Hi everyone, it’s me again, Pierre.

Today I’d like to talk about all of the things I’m thankful for. I was far too busy on Thanksgiving weekend to write my blog but I’m catching up.

I had a very special Thanksgiving this year. My Auntie Margaret came all the way from Ottawa to visit me. We had lots of snuggles and I let her sleep in my bedroom. I even got to share her roast beef dinner with her and she brushed me with my favorite brush and bought me some presents. I’m very grateful for my family.

I got another big surprise over Thanksgiving. My mom found me a special new bed that helps me to stay calm and I love it. It’s a beautiful blue colour and it’s shaped like a big egg and only has one little hole in it for me to get in and out. When I’m in there it’s dark and quiet and I can relax. I have a lot of anxiety so this is good for me. I also got a new collar. It’s green and my Mom says it’s made from very good leather and it makes me look even more handsome. I’m very grateful for unexpected surprise gifts.

It’s fall now and my balcony garden is pretty much cleaned up and put away for the winter. I keep bringing my sticks inside to keep them warm so we can plant them again in the spring. My mom gets annoyed by this and tells me my plants will come back in the spring anyway and I don’t need to bring sticks inside but I think she’s wrong. I’m very grateful I have a warm home to bring my sticks into.

This year has been hard on everyone. I can see the worry on my family’s faces when they watch the news but we still have food to eat and a warm place to live and lots of love so we’re doing ok. I hope you all are too.

Happy belated Thanksgiving everyone!

Pierre

  1. Pierre,
It sounds like you have a lot to be thankful for. Keep up the good work with the humans. They can be a tricky bunch.
